How and why Ventanazul is born.
Ventanazul is a company founded at Perú, in 2000 by Alexis Bellido.
Until 1998 Alexis had worked as a technology consultant and had decided to create a portal about technology, businesses and Internet, a site targeted to peruvian market and featuring related articles and a community section for entrepreneaurs.
The idea did not work, but was a great exercise during almost one year, and revealed how many details are needed to create a succesful Internet project, failure is the best teacher.
Another important discovery was realizing that no frontiers existed on Internet, we could start making business worldwide.
In the first months of 1999, Alexis started creating web sites for many of his customers, the idea was not designing web pages but create an extension of their businesses on Internet.
The company is legally formed in 2000 as Ventanazul and its web site is launched.
During that year we buy our first servers at colocate them in USA and start offering web hosting services.
In 2001 we decide to offer not just web hosting and development, but web solutions, a concept involving planning a project, its development and turning into an effective business online.
In 2002 we got our first customers in Colombia and Spain. Ventanazul participates in the creation of Asociación Nacional de Webmasters Perú (www.anwmp.org) and our founder visits the main cities of Peru lecturing about businesses and Internet.
In 2003 we entered the european and north american markets, developing projects in USA, Great Britain and Switzerland. We realize it is time to create a new identity, we design a new logo and start working on an entirely new web site based in web standards, targeted to a worldwide audience.
